To my eye the fork looks bent, but it could be the camera angle.

I built one of those into a singlespeed for my son. Nice frame, and light. Tange Infinity tubing (seamed double-butted). Based on that one photo, and my memory of what the fork looks like, I'd say that one has been in a frontal collision, though.

If it rides nice, it's worth $150, and welcome to the forum.

    Hey thanks,
Looks like there are no brake pads and it needs a chain. Is that bend in the fork not supposed to be there? It seems most of the bikes i see have a slight forward bend in the front fork like this. What does it mean when it's bent? Will the steering be off or something like that?

Look at Scooper's post above. Typically the upper part of the fork blades are parallel to the head tube. It looks like the fork has been bent back (usually they'll bend near the fork crown) in a collision. This is easier to spot in person, and bent fork is generally accompanied by tell-tale cracked paint on the fork blades or on the top tube and down tube right behind the head tube.

I had a Nishiki Prestige a few years back! The bike rode extremely well! It was light and it was very responsive with a very nice racing geometry!

I've had two Nishiki Prestiges. I sold one for $250, the other for $265. Both were in superb, ready to ride condition.

$150 for one with crash damage? no.

Vince - The "damage" everyone is referring to is not the forward bend you see on every bike - it's the BACKWARD bend - from a frontal impact. It will adversely affect how the bike tracks and likely pull right or left.

Also - note that this would be a "project" bike even if it weren't damaged- So it should go for a really, really low price. - Like a PBR 6-pack sort of price.

OHH I SEE! Thanks for clarifying! I was so confused haha now I understand Charles' comment. Well, thanks for clearing that up and all the help guys! I guess the general consensus here is that it's been damaged. Thanks!

If it's not a lot of trouble, I'd still go take a look at it. Sometimes photos can deceive -- but the people on the forum have a pretty practiced eye for that sort of thing.
