Needing to thin the herd - '82 Miyata 610

Sadly I need to thin the herd, a few were easy choices, but the hard decision came down to this one here, and I still haven't made a final decision yet. I'm trying get an approximate valuation from you knowledgeable folks. I did a little research on ebay and such and I know markets will vary. If you could maybe add a little insight as to your valuation, your local market conditions, thoughts about +/- to changes I made, all would be much appreciated.

1982 Miyata 610 - 23" Frame - Original Paint and Decals -A few nicks but nothing major - Suntour Barcons

It's a little big for me, hence the seat post pretty much buried into the frame, and one of the factors as to why I am looking to this go.

Cane Creek SCR5 Levers, since this photo I came across some matching Cane Creek Dual Pivots that are essentially identical to the Tectro's that are shown in the picture.

Updated with a 7 speed 13-28.

Overall, it is in good condition, and it is a very nice ride, but alas, it needs to find a new home.

Thanks for any insight on price starting points.

******* Oops
Just read the forum guidelines - It was not my intention to subvert the guidelines - I am not intending to post this as a blatent attempt to sell this bike here, for one, I don't want to go through the whole packing and shipping so I will not entertain any offers in this thread -

So what is this old black bike worth?

You should be able to get at least $175 in the local CL.

I'm in a softer market then you, I could get $200 for it. I'd start at $250 and see what happens.

You live just south of me and I would list it at $275 but be prepared to accept less, IMHO. I would love to have that in my garage. Miyata+ touring model+ barcons= good stuff.

I would list for $275 and not take any less.

The dual pivots, aeros and Barcons are all plus's for most people. ( I don't know about the ergo bars though )

By '84 the 610 had canti's and shared geometry with the 1000. In '82, the 610 had a triple but still had side-pulls. It also had slightly slacker angles and a longer wheelbase. Which is the better touring bike is moot.

The bike seems exceptionaly well built up and in very good condition. It's a touring bike with barcons and nice components which add a lot to value. I'm not really sure about the aero bars and Tektro brakes while very nice they just don't seem to match go with the bike. I think you should be ably to get $275 for the bike in most markets. If it was mine I would seriously consider keeping it and maybe think about selling a different bike from your herd.
