Univega Rover Sport
Does anybody have any information on these Rover Sports? I ride this one daily and have the matching women's in storage. Both are at least 95% original.

Hello ChowJines, welcome to the forums. What is the frame material on these? Is both the frame and fork Chromoly? It looks to me like an '85/6ish All Terrain Bike (ATB) This was likely one or two up from the bottom of the line ATB/MTBs and while in great shape its appeal will be limited. I think maybe $100 each sounds fair.
They would make great city/campus bikes with a rack on the back and basket of some type in the front.

+1 While in great shape and likely a very nice rider. Mid 80's ATB's just don't have a lot of value only $100-125. So If it rides good you will get much more value out of this bike keeping and riding it than you will selling it.

Univega was one of a long line of marketing brands during that era. Univega did not make a single bike, but they did have good partners build bikes for them. There is a long thread on Univega serial numbers and models on the forum.
Almost all MTBs from that era get little respect in the marketplace, so they make a great deal for someone looking for a good solid bike to ride. Originality from that era does not affect value, but can mean bike needs a thorough rehab (which does affect value).

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
