Worth $40, sure. As a flip, you already know the answer.......NO.
Description states as is, I think I see a torn saddle and ripped grip, I would assume cables, housings, bearings, grease will all need attention, along with possibly freewheel and chain.

For $40 is looks like a nice rider and if Linden was easy for me to get to I would grab it for a grocery bike to releive the Rover of those duties.
Maybe if it needs nothing you could get $70-80 flippin it in the spring.

thanks guys - told the seller i'm passing - not worth the time effort etc

Still learning
Even with all the Italian Americans in New Joisey, it took me over a year to sell a Bianchi Osprey.
