Another Nishiki International identify and appraisal
I got a good friend of mine into riding last year and I've been trying to get him more into working on bikes. He's also pretty strapped for cash, so I'm encouraging him to tune and flip a few bikes to work towards something nicer. This is his first project, that I will likely help him sell on the Boston Craigslist in the spring (he lives in rural central MA).
Condition is EXCELLENT. Very low miles, paint is 9/10. Only issues are: very minor rust by one of the top tube cable guides, tires are older (but will probably stay since they are still supple and have 99% tread). The rust will be spot treated on the TT and touched up. Original hoods were very dry and replaced with new Cane Creek. Cyclone derailleurs, nice drilled brake levers with no rash, Sugino crank with drillium rings, Araya 27" rims. Tange Champion (2?) tubing.
What year is it, what do you think it's worth? I was hoping we could get $175-200 in riding season.
Sorry for the crappy pictures...the camera lens on my phone is a bit hazy. I was also proud of the wood I helped split and stack for my dad and having a little fun...

Circa 1982-1984. Post the serial number for corroboration. I would think that in Boston, the best time to sell would be around the beginning of September, with all the incoming students looking for cheap transportation.

I would invest a few $$ into new bar tape, a contrast color, perhaps yellow. In Boston, in season, I would guess higher, $225, maybe $250 tops.
