Bianchi

I'm going to look at this in the morning,
What is people's opinion on it.
It's too big for me but the group set I might take and let the frameset go.
Good or ok buy?

Mike

Strikes me as within the reasonable range. I have a 2000 Veloce. I paid $1200 for mine when it was new, so I think the $1499 they are quoting as original cost may be list price, not their actual purchase price.

It's not got the original stem, just in case you didn't notice the Nashbar logo on the faceplate. Looks like the previous owner preferred his bars quite high.

I would say an ok buy. Around here, that would be the most I would see it going for. I wouldn't consider it a deal.

Broken up, you will break even, in my opinion. The frame set should fetch close to $300.00, although it is pretty big and that will make it hard to sell. The Campy group another $300.00, if you sell it. If you keep the group, you will be getting it at an Ebay price.

Course, this is just my opinion.

Mediocre buy, given its not a keeper, and its XL size depreciates the frame (and makes it harder to sell).

Now if it were a keeper, and your size, sure.

+1 To BG's comment, XL frame = quite a bit more to ship, which depresses prices more. I can fit a 23 inch or smaller frameset in a 108 inch box (cheap to ship). Anything larger, I end up in a 130 inch max box, which costs about 3X to ship. I keep working on it.

I may have to side with Work, T-Mar and the others, If it was a rider ir might be an OK deal. If your OK with taking the 'kit' off and maybe getting $200ish or maybe less, for the frame then it is still OK. Depending how bad he wants the cash he maight bite and $450 but the bike has only been up for a day.

I am not certain that I agree with the estimate on the frame, not that my reselling track record is that great, but $300+ for 15yo Dedacciai seems alot especially for a huge one like that. Plus the bike is local to you and your going to have to ship the frame. so add another $50 to the sale price.

Just to add to my initial response, of "within the reasonable range". Upper end of the reasonable range. As others have suggested, getting it down to $450 would be preferable.
