I'm looking for a cheap road bike to ride to work this summer. I ran across this bike for sale near me. The seller says it's a 27" wheel Maruishi, but doesn't know the frame size. The frame of the bike is supposedly in perfect condition, but the back wheel is missing 2 spokes. He doesn't know the model #, although he says the bike is from the 80's. He doesn't know the last time tires were changed.

Any idea of the quality and value of this bike? Also how can I tell if i will need to change the tires (or maybe even the whole back wheel)? The owner is the same height as I am so I'm going to drive over tomorrow to take a look even without knowing the frame size.

If the owner is the same height as you, the bike is too big for you.

Value wise, even $100 might be ambitious, while it's probably a great rider, there isn't much special about that bike.
