Is This A Raleigh?
Bought this on the weekend for the Sturmey Archer hub. As I took it apart I realized that it might not be the basic department store bike I thought it was.
Badged as Eaton Truline Glider, serial number on the left of the top of the seat tube MA24952
According to Sheldon Brown's pages the rear dropout is a good indicator of being a Raleigh.
The BB shell measures 71mm, the fork ends are 87mm, the rear spacing 114mm.
The tires are marked 26x1 3/8 and 37-590.
The rear hub is a Sturmey Archer 40 spoke AW, the only other markings are 72 12 stamped on the shell.

Nope, made by Raleigh but branded as a Glider.

Thanks, guess I'll stick with plan A and take the hub, ditch the rest. Only cost $20
Very similar bike popped up on the classifieds this morning, only single speed coaster brake, claimed to be 1960
