1974 Schwinn Continental
I picked this bike up at the flea market on Memorial Day. I feel like I got a good deal on it, but you know, second guessing and all that. I paid $65 for this bike, aside from the front tire that would not hold proper pressure, it is in pretty solid shape. I had a usable tire lying around on an old bike and swapped it out. Did I overpay? I managed to talk the guy down from $100 since it started raining towards the afternoon. I like to think I made a good purchase.

I think you did GREAT ! clean and regrease the bearings, clean that chain , that bike will last forever ! Looks pretty clean too ! what are the first two digits of the serial number ?

You made an excellent purchase, especially for a bike that looks to be original and unmolested. The CK indicates a March '74 frame build. Regrease the bearings, polish the paint and chrome and it should look like new and be good for another 40 years.
