How much is this Bianchi worth?

Well guys I was looking at this bicycle I'm going to check out tomorrow and was wondering if it is worth $450??
The guy says its a Vintage Bianchi road bike 56 cm Eldorado limited edition, all shimano 600 components, everything is original, made in Italy, Columbus tubing. Thanks

Looking at the pictures, it doesn't seem like this bike is in pristine condition -- I see some rust, scratches, etc. Where do you live? That will affect a bike's selling price. In any case, I don't see a $450 bike in those pictures, but I'm no expert.

I'm not an expert but the black fork and rear staintays just look wrong for a Bianchi so very likely rear done. Rough looking wheels and tires assume all wear parts are rough. 600 components mean only a mid level Bianchia at best I would say $200 for this bike.

Worth $200-250 in Los Angeles, but only due to the Bianchi name. That bike doesn't seem like it's in good condition at all. You just need to shop around for longer.

Circa 1988-1990 frameset rebuilt with 1986/1987 components. The black stays and forks duplicate the colours used on Argentin's 1986 World Championship bicycle. It was used on the highly desirable x-4 Argentin Replica. However, I'm not aware of it being used on lesser models with Formula tubesets, like this one appears to have. It's intertesting that there is a fork decal, which you would not expect if it's a home painted fork. However, all the replica bicycles I've seen have had a black head tube, so it probably is an alternation.

Not worth it. Expect it to need full maintenance ($200). When a 25+ year old bike is "all original" that means everything is way overdue for rebuild/maintenance: bottom bracket, wheel hubs, cables, housings, headset, chain, etc.

I am always amazed that the lack of maintenance is almost always portrayed as a "selling point".

I would like to see better pics to see just what parts are on this bike but for a Celeste $400-450 may be reasonable for LA if it didn't need a lot of work.

I can't speak for the components, which look like a same era version of 600, but the frame looks like a '88 Trofeo built from the afore mentioned Formula 2 tubing and painted in Argentin Celeste paint scheme. It would have come originally with a Suntour, Ofmega, Modolo component mix so the 600 may be a slight upgrade.

I paid around $400 plus shipping for mine a few years ago but if it was closer I would have been able to haggle a bit. It did turn out to a great riding bike though.

This doesn't look bad but yes I would try hard for closer to $300. Does it fit you? Will it suit your needs?

Also I think for some reason, maybe lack luster sales, some of these may have been reconfigured with 600.

Here are a few pics of mine. first the sellers pic

The facilitator's pics.

and how I "Bianchigirlized" it to my taste/style

Thanks for all the replies, I tried negotiating with him but he was firm at $450 and wouldn't budge. It wasn't in that good condition and the paint had cracks on it.

..And Bianchigirll your bike is beautiful..I'll just have to be patient.

Pretty good assessment, I'd say between. $200-$300, but condition dictates that kind of return.

And don't be surprised if he contacts you again when NO ONE gives him anywhere near his asking price for it. Not worth $450 in mine and many others opinions.
