Selle Italia Super Turbo (??)
I know it's not a bike, but it's still a vintage part of a bike ! So I got my hands on a Selle Italia super turbo (1986) in great overall condition. I saw some go for around 200-300$ on eBay, and I was wondering how much it would be worth ?
Thanks for the input !

I think that could be worth a little bit of money -- it's a little hard to tell the condition from the photo. How does the saddle look from the back? Is the leather torn or scuffed back there? What about the rails -- any rust or condition issues? It all comes into play.
All kinds of people will pay (or ask for) nonsense prices on ebay, but you've got to look at completed sales, not current auctions, to get a picture of the prices people are actually paying. And those $200-$300 saddles may be the NOS ones. I could be wrong.
Show us a picture from the back, if you don't mind -- I might actually consider giving you an offer on this one. It's a nice saddle.

Constant tinkerer
Were those SELLING prices or ASKING prices? Sellers ask whatever they want, sometimes outrageous prices for things that will never sell.
Check completed listings to see what they are actually selling for. I have a white leather Turbo I need to put up on ebay... Tried it and didn't like it.

Need better photos.
Nothing outside of NOS sells for over $100.

I don't have very good lighting right now, but the saddle is in great overall condition with no rust on the rails or screws. No rips or tear anywhere on the leather, here are some better pictures; it's dated 1986

Your photos give a good show of its condition. Since saddles are so easy to pack and ship, just put it up on the auction site. You'll find out exactly what it's worth, which is almost certainly a lot less than some asking prices you've seen. If the interest in your saddle seems low and you decide it's not going to bring enough to bother with selling, just cancel the auction.

I dunno; this saddle would spruce up the OP's "Wal-Mart Special Racer 2000" (look under the OP's My Bikes).

Actually, the later iterations of the Turbo saddle were never that popular, compared to the original one that did not have the fancy plastic trim and golden labels, so people really don't look for them that much. I'd think the best one can get out fo that saddle is around 65 bucks to someone really looking for that particular model Turbo. More likely 50 bucks max on most days. You might get a higher price for a conventional/plain turbo saddle in the same condition, especially if it has a perforated cover. I think it's because most riders went on to buy Regal and Rolls saddles instead of this one and the later Turbo-models like the Turbo-matic. Turbo's just kinda generally fell out of favor after the mid 80's after the good run with their original one for some reason. Frankly, I think people just got tired of how they look after so many of them were sold in their earlier days....
