Value of a 1990? 53cm bianchi eros?
I don't know much about bikes, I'm hoping to purchase a refurbished vintage road bike, but I don't want to waste money if it's not worth it and I was told this would be the best place for advice. I found this ad on craigslist https://slo.craigslist.org/bik/4075675135.html
This is the info on the bike:
great condition double butted tange steel, double biopace to seven speed index downtube shifting perfect, tri color shimano 600 brakes, has high rise commuter bars but can replace with drop bars if buyer prefers. email with questions.
31" standover, 53cm top tube
soma surly sport touring lugs lugged lug nitto long haul trucker cross check rivendell ibob bob reynolds columbus
(More pics in cl post)
Asking: $240
is it worth it?

Doesn't look completely awful, but those bars have got to go. I imagine LA CL is higher than mine, but with proper bars on that I'd probably ask around 200$, so we're ballpark here. Seller does say he'll change bars and levers.

The Eros was "Sport Touring" bike and normally had a triple crankset. I think the frame is '92 but aside from the stem (and likely the headset and bottom bracket) I doubt anything is original.
If you can get it for closer to $200 with a alloy drop bar and correct shimano brake levers to go with the calipers it might be a decent rider.
