Vintage (well ~90s) MTB experts wanted - Diamonback
My friend is looking to purchase this Diamondback - https://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-s...AdIdZ536060537
He likes everything about it, looks to be his size from the pictures. Only negative for him is front fork - he does not like suspension (I get it, same way myself).
Question is - which model is it and what year? He is curios about tubing, etc
Not that concerned about price - $100 for good condition mid to high end vintage MTB is great deal in my books for Toronto market
Best pics we have:
I assume fork steerer is 1 1/8 so upgrade to rigid should not be a problem.

Constant tinkerer
I can't tell the model or the components, but $100 is definitely a good price. I can tell it's not low end junk.
That fork is garbage though, I had a bike with one. Plan on throwing it out. Don't assume the steerer is 1 1/8". It looks like it is (especially cause it's threadless), but measure to be sure.
The purple anodized stuff is sweet.

And purple looks cool - purple qr, levers, brakes, I think hubs has purple flanges as well
