Attempting to identify a Cinelli saddle..
I came into this saddle and believe it to be a 1983 Mod. L saddle as described below from - https://www.velo-retro.com/cinellitline.html
1983
"Domino" stem (polyurethane openable upper half, alloy stem) and Mod. L saddle (plastic top, forged aluminum "wishbone" frame, comes with longer aluminum bolt to use with Campagnolo Nuovo Super Record single-bolt seat post). Personalized engraving available on 1R stem from Cinelli. "VIP" saddle, bar/stem and tire bag set, all covered in matching colored suede leather.
I have only seen a couple pictures of these in all the searching I have done on the web. There is one on ebay that looks to be identical but it is part of what looks to be the VIP package - https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Cinelli-...item41752f6627
Any insight anyone can provide would be appreciated.

NOS condition(?), Aluminum alloy rails, Traditional Unicanitor shape, The flying "C" all over it's cover.... all the right boxes seems to be checked for something that can sell for a lot of money!
Personally, I think the saddle graphics are way overdone in a sort of fashion designer way with all those brand graphics printed on it,.....sort of like a Louis Vuitton bag,....... but I guess there's certainly enough C&Vers might like it on their C&V bikes and will bid hard against each other to get one.....

If you are going to sell on ebay, my advice is come up with a price, put it up for 30 days, buy it now, immediate payment required. If your price is too high, it won't sell. Too low or just right and it will typically sell. Base your pricing on completed auctions that have SOLD.
90% of the time, I price mine with free shipping (just adjust price up a tad). Buyers like it and you avoid complaints about shipping price too high.
Realize your marketing skills (presentation and ad) are important to your success.
What is that discoloration on the saddle rail? Is it rust or just dirt? If it is dirt, I would carefully just polish up the rail.

My issue is that I have never seen this saddle except for the one eBay listing out there now that has the saddle as part of a set....for $8000!!
I see VIP saddles and their sale price but they all seem pretty common.
I don't exactly know what the stain is. My thought was glue. I was trying to leave things as I found them but if you think attempting to clean the rails, I can attempt to.

Who knows on pricing for this one, Cinelli meets Louis Vuitton, price may be no object.
