Wheel set, Arc en ciel/Nuovo Tipo

I've searched ebay to find an approximate value for this wheel set, but can't really find anything comparable. If you were to sell these would you keep them whole or sell rims and hubs separately? I really don't feel right breaking this down as it is such a cool vintage wheel set, but I am sure that it would be more profitable to split it up. So I am looking for a value of what these would go for whole, and a value on the rims separated. I know the hubs will sell between $100 to $150 with a little polishing.

As far as condition everything appears to be very good. The hubs spin almost like butter, and I have not had them open for servicing. Both skewers are there and in great condition. The rims shine well without having been polished, sidewalls are in good condition, all labels are nearly perfect. Hubs are dated 72.

I seems like someone was just looking for these rims/wheelset, but I don't recall if it was here or on CR. I do think you're too optimistic on your price for Nuovo Tipo hubs, even high flange.

Yes, I have been in contact with Delicious regarding the rims. The problem is I am not sure what a fair price is. I am not looking to fleece anyone, but I would also like to get something close to a fair price for them. Just kind of looking for a ballpark price range. I have a price in mind but would like to have in confirmed as appropriate.

Regarding the hubs, you might be right. Anythign over $100 seems very high for Nuovo Tipo/Gran Sport to me. But searching ebay that seems to be the going price range for a matching pair with skewers in nice condition.

I have given the interested buyer an asking price of $60 for the rims. I'm fairly confident these would fetch more than that on ebay. If anyone thinks this there is anything way out of line about my asking price let me know, otherwise since this is currently in negotiation with a forum member there probably isn't anything more to be discussed.

I am not sure you would get much more than that for these. I think most people looking for vintage rims are looking for NOS. Also I believe these had a reputation for being rather noisy owing to the nickname I heard a few times of "bark and squeal".

Just for future reference, these sold for $60 and with more than one interested party at that price. The sale was made easier due to the excellent condition of the braking surface and decals.
