Bianchi sport SX celeste

How much for this Bianchi Sport SX? Looks to be in not so good condition. I also don't know much about it, components tubing etc. I could be very wrong but the stamp on the seat post seems to be for columbus tubing, but I've heard this bike is Japanese...

Fairly nice mid level bike likely Columbus SLX tubing made in Japan with Shimano light action indexed 2X6. Looks to be in good used condition a bit high on value $250-300 value in most markets.

I thought the Italian Bianchi frames got Columbus tubing while the Japanese frames got Japanese tubing. I've had a bunch of these with Tange Superset and Ishiwata 022. Nice frames, some folks feel even better than the Italian counterparts.

That is what I thought as well. Columbus = Italian and Tange = Japan. Shimano Light action as in SIS? Not sure what it would be then.. this bike has me confused.

The light action stuff was basically first generation SIS not high end but very good functionaly accurate simple smooth indexing.

I think the price is a bit high, but not outrageously so. Worth about 250$ here, give or take 25 bucks. If it fits, worth a look and some bargaining.

Not bad but think I'll pass. I would have like it to have something along the lines of campy veloce or suntour. Already have a Grizzly with shimano light action, although tange tubing.

Thanks for all your input. I almost bought this today but when I contacted the seller it was already gone. :(

That is an '88 or 89 and no way is it Columbus

88 was a Tange tubing with shipmano Exage Sport while the '89 machine was Bianchi tubing with shipmano Sport LX

MSRP for either was around $475 so I would say unless it is in really good condition the price should be closer to 250ish. Should be an excellent rider though
