Aluminum LeTour?
Did Schwinn make an aluminum LeTour?
If so, what year might it be?
(I don't recognize the script, or the flame decals!)

Ha, answered my own question, thanks to bikepedia:
https://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/B...&model=Le+Tour
Shimano levers, RSX downtube shifters and RD, Tektro 420AG brakes, Araya SP-30 rims. $500 in 1999, the flame decals are apparently an add-on.
Anybody have any experience owning or riding one?

Yes; the one in the OP is from the late nineties.
Here are the '99 specs.

Still learning
Given your eye for detail and great leatherwork, why would you want a bike with toothpaste welds?

It's listed in the Norfolk CL for $100, and right now I'm more curious than serious. But, if I could snag it for low money, clean & tune it, ride it awhile, and then flip it...that might satiate my desire to experience firsthand the difference between AL and Cro-Mo.
(Thanks for the specs, Scooper!)
