CAMPY Tools
Not a vintage bike question . . . but one about Campy tools. I just scored a bunch of vintage tools - many of which I don't need and want to sell. Included in the lot was a set of Campy FRENCH BB taps, and the French (35 X P1) threaded guide that is used with a Campy BB facing tool. The taps are a little dirty, but the previous owner told me they are NOS and unused. Can someone offer some guidance about their value? There were also a couple of sets of English taps that I suspect are worth some decent money, but I have no idea how much demand there is for French threaded stuff.
All help and/or advice welcome. |
Clean them up and ebay. They come by so rarely that you never know. I am not sure if selling the guides and the taps separately is the way to go either.
The taps will be worth much more if they are more than just the tap insert and include the bodies. To really use them you need the ancillary tools that come in the tool chest. |
IMO Craigs List would be a waste of time... A likely buyer will undoubtedly already have a Campag tool set and purchase these to enhance that kit... I would put a BIN at $100@ & see what happens.
