Binachi - late 80's perhaps....?

Hi there,

total newbie looking for a little advice. Trying to figure out what this Bianchi is (and is worth) with a view to picking it up. As far as I can work out it's probably late 80's? Stickers seem to indicate SL tubing which (if true / original) along with chrome chainstay, would mean a decent frame?

Any help appreciated.

Just found this actually - which seems a fairly close match Steel Vintage Bikes - Bianchi Specialissima Classic Bicycle with Cobalto 1986

Interesting looking Bianchi. I gather your in Europe somewhere? The signature on the stay caps, the logo and style of fork crown, and dropout style, as well as the chrome stay definitely point to a nice frame so I would say the SL sticker belongs there. The components look like some one put them on after removing the CampI I would expect to be OEM. I think I see 600 dual pivot calipers and rear derailleur and shifters but can't tell about the hubs.

I don't know your market but if it fits and is ready to ride I would say your looking I the $350 to $450 price range.

Thanks Bianchigirll, appreciated. Yep, UK based. Think the front hub is dura ace looking at photo - '87 Giro is listed as all Dura ace components in the catalogue, so that could make sense?

Ah, sorry, now I see the Ultergra calipers and rear derailleur, not DA.

I always for get about the '87 Giro. That is a possible candidate depending on the other parts.

Pretty nice bike. I would think towards the higher side of bianchigirll's price but, of course, if you can get it for the lower end
