Thoughts on this Cannondale?
 

Hi i'm currently on the hunt for a bike to commute to work and was looking for bikes. I stumbled across this as it's within my budget my problem is that it looks kind of old. What do you think it's worth? Cannondale 3.0 54cm

Really nice solid looking bike in nice smaller size frome a top quaility US Builder. Yet it is a basic model with less desirable 7 speed Suntour so I would only go $250 so on this bike.

A retailer will not likely capitulate to a 67% offer. Plus, Cannondales command premiums whether new or used.

+1 on small size, probably anyone over 5'5" is too tall.

Yes, it looks kind of old because it is. But if it fits you and is in good working order then it'll end up being well worth the purchase price provided you ride it enough. I paid $400 for a very similar bike (but 60 instead of 54cm) a number of years ago and have since put over 100,000 miles on it (72 of them earlier today). Maybe I overpaid, but I certainly got my money's worth.
