Redline Monocog, Year and Worth?
Well I have been selling bikes for awhile now and have one that I know should be able to sell well, I thought, but have had no luck.
It's a Redline Monocog with 26" wheels that can be used as either disc or rim brakes. I had it setup with only one brake, new cork grips, handlebars, stem, and saddle, but otherwise it is in like new condition.
I am wondering what the C&V flippers think what the price should be for it? Also, anyone know the year, it can't be that old?

I'm thinking that bike's less than 5 years old. Bikepedia, while not exhaustive, only shows the Monocog 26 in 2010 & 2011. The few parts specifically listed there seem like they match your bike well enough.

Actually, I believe it is a 2006 model. Found pics of a Monocog 29er same color/graphics in 2006 offering. Values for these are all over the place. Consensus is great frame, mediocre components. I have a 2008 29er and love it. Upgraded to discs.
Forgive the crappy pic. This is the condition I bought it in. Seat was swapped out for a Brooks and mounted at the proper angle!

Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

These are currently selling for $275 - $400 (plus shipping) on eBay depending on age and condition. People are of course asking more for them, and rarely getting it. Hope this helps.

26" single speeds were a pretty hot item in the mid to late 90's and well into the 2000s. I know theres a bunch of them out there but people seem to be hanging on to them. I have one of the early Monocog framesets with the 110mm rear drops. I would think $300-$400 if you can wait for the right buyer to come along

MSRP for these steel, base-level Monocogs was $450, so I'd lower my expectations: $200, $250 tops.
And the single brake is hurting its value. Mountain bikers like being able to stop.

Educated guess (I've owned a few M'cogs, including but not limited to 1 I bought new in '02 and had it until '11),it's somewhere between '06 and '08-like said above, these were MSRP'd around $450,street price'd closer to $400,maybe $200-300 depending on condition (looks clean from the pics)
