How to tell if Reynolds frame isn't fake?
Hi,
Viewing this Claud Butler Regent Touring bike tomorrow.
Cant tell how genuine in the photos.... What should I look for when I view it to tell it's legit??

It's hard to tell anything from those photos. If I was you I'd check the seatpost size, most of the time a 531 frame will have a 27.2mm post. Every now and again you see a 27.0, but usually on older bikes than this.

I'm not the OP, but I will say that for some reason there seem to be a lot of fake Claud Butler frames. No idea why.

This particular bike is selling at 170 pounds sterling or less than $300 at current exchange rates. Not much profit in faking a complete Reynolds 531 bike at $300.

Hi, there I guess the only reason I brought it up was due to seeing a similar post on here questioning authenticity....so got me a little paranoid. Was thinking of buying a quick run around bike...
I passed on viewing it anyway, its not really me. Looking for something a bit more minimalist with less decals. Maybe even fixed.
