70's Peugeot? Expert appraisal sought

I think this could be a J8 or some type of Pug tourer, can anyone confirm and if so what might it be worth?

Looks like a 1978-ish UE-8. Basically the same as the common UO-8 but with rack, fenders, and lights.

Pricing depends a lot on location and I have no clue what that bike would sell for in your corner of England. UO-8's are cheap and plentiful, though. I see them periodically in my neck o' the woods, often around or even under $100. Maybe add a bit of value for the fenders and such.

Keep in mind that these bikes often need a lot of work and there may be some parts you'd need to (or want to) replace if you plan on really using the bike, which would add to your out-of-pocket costs.

Bike shown needs a lot of work, full overhaul, new consumables, cleaning/polishing, tires. As shown about $50-$75 US.

I agree. Fixed up in a good market, you could get maybe $150 for it. But you will need to put time and money into fixing it up.

Hmmmm. No love for a classic Peugeot? One of the few bikes with fitted fenders and lights. I would have no problem paying $200 for a bike like that in what appears very rideable condition.

Currently on eBay starting bid of £50, I have just bought another 80's Peugeot and my better half is now losing her sense if humour.

Lovely bike, great rider. In that shape, 50$ tops. I own a couple of them-- or at least variations on them-- and the basic bikes cost five dollars combined. To make it rideable, you're looking at a serious cash infusion.
