Value: Vintage Centurion Accord
Im trying to gauge the value of a Centurion Accord (year not specified)
NY,NY LINK: VINTAGE TALL ACCORD CENTURION I can pick this up today, but I want to know if this is a deal or not. It looks decently maintained, and the original seat says its very good any guesses on value or what I should offer? Thanks! :D |
that looks big will it fit you?
I wish I knew what these brake levers were and where I could find a pair, they look like a DiaCompe but I don't recall ever seeing them. http://images.craigslist.org/00Q0Q_h...mn_600x450.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/00o0o_b...cy_600x450.jpg |
Bianchigirl, pretty sure those are DiaCompe levers, are knock off of them. Aero with the turkey levers. Not very long ago I pulled a set of a junker Accordo at the local coop. They were missing the safety levers, but I just needed the hoods.
OP; paints rough, parts look oxidized, and it's an entry level '80's bike. I have no idea what he NY NY bike market is like, but it wouldn't bring near 200 here. But this is a soft market. |
As an active participant in the NYC market, I think that bike is a $100-$125 project. Lots of scratches on frame, mismatched tires, pedals missing straps and cap, rusty shifter cables.
Personally, I'd look for a much cleaner ready-to-ride bike. |
Not a "deal" except maybe a bad deal.
