Vintage Garlatti
Rescued this puppy from garbage, my new backup beater, vtg Garlatti. Don't think it has any bedbugs

I am trying to restore an early 1970s Gitane Grand Sport Deluxe and it needs a new rear derailleur.
Would this Garlatti's derailer - Shimano RS - go on the Gitane?
Sorry if the question is stupid - i don't know much about bikes hardware

With that claw hanger attached, as shown in that picture, it should work. Without a claw hanger, you'd need a Simplex derailleur of the proper mounting type.
