1984 Cannondale SR900
I really like the vintage cannondales and I found this one on CL. I can find any recent sales on ebay so I have no idea if this is a fair price or not. I also don't know anything about components this old. I think its an sr900 because of the Campagnolo components. I have a 91 SR400 so how would this bike compare to that? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Buy it immediately, would be my advice. You might not notice a huge difference in ride quality, but the bicycle, fitted with those Campagnolo components, is worth considerably more than what is being asked.

I agree. I am not huge Cannondale fan but if I saw that on my local CL I would heading there now.
I don't know what model labeling system Cannondale used then, but this would have their top model or a frame only sale and built at a dealer. I believe this was their 2nd their 2nd year building bikes?, but I suspect this may be a bit lighter than your '91.

Probably an '85, as I think they only produced ST touring frames in '83 and '84. Biggest difference will be visual, in the early years their welding and filleting was not very pretty. After '86 they got much better at it. Some feel that the later cantilever chainstay design like you have on your '91 produced a harsher ride. It will be a very competent frame, regardless.
