mystery mixte

I picked up an old mixte frame to build a nice bike for my fiance. It's been painted, and all badges/emblems are gone. I looked at the bottom bracket hoping to find a serial # or something to go by, but there is nothing. It has huret stem shifters and derailleurs. The cranks are cottered and stamped "solida". The dereailleur clamps are shimano, and the rear brake is a mafac racer. I wanna say its french, but there's a mismatch of parts so I dont know if its been put together with parts from a french bike, or if the other stuff was added. Are there any tell tale details on the frame that would help? The lugs look like they could be helpful, The fork resembles the one on my motobecane, but I am not convinced. I'll post pictures when i get home, but are there any specific areas that would help you all help me?

Looks like a moto to me. The fork crown looks to have the stylized M on the side cutout.

Thanks for the help, maybe from there I can figure some more out on my own. I'm thinkin it's probably a lower end model from the cranks and the brake levers. I just wish I knew what actually came on it and what's been replaced.

Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

O Lord. The fancy chrome-plated tin fork crown cover. Eww. Best advice I can give is to determine if the frame dimensioning is French or if it is English or Italian. Accurately measure stem diameter and see what the BB cups say/how they thread out, also you'll want the seat post diameter if you are determined to fix it up.

The lugs and top of the fork don't look like a Motobecane but the equipment is similar to a 70s entry model so I'd think it is French and you'll be looking at a French thread BB. I had to heat the BB shell on my 60s Motobecane mixte and use the wrench and bolt method to remove the fixed cup because of loctite. A 70s Moto would have Swiss thread. I'd say the gear is stock except for the derailleur which was probably Huret. The rear brake probably isn't stock either.
