Schwinn Paramount Tandem late 70's

Looking to pick this up for myself, I have made an offer on it that was accepted, it is complete but needs going thru, I tested it already,
needs the usual, full cables, chain is not pretty, full polishing, has the rear rack,
wheels straight
frame size- front 57 x 57, stroker 51h x 55ish long
filleted joints
Light blue in color
paint -many touch ups
campy shifters
campy 4 hole front deraileur
shimano 600 rear i think
steel phil wood hubs, 48 rear 36 front, 126 spaced. has a 5 speed cluster
rear has the phil wood cable actuated brake on the left side of rear hub
new tires
mafec canti brakes front and rear , mafec levers, the dual cable unit on the left,
there is an additional sidepull for the stroker,
campi seatposts on both and are not stuck
4 campi pedals9missing one cap)
TA specialties triple cranks, chainwheels ok
chains show no wear at 12" in length

Questions- what tubing is in this frame**********
If I pass I will let others know where it sits in Baltimore Maryland area and I will harbor the bike until pickup is arranged.

If it has TA cranks with the sync rings on the drive side (and they are original to the bike) that would make it a '76 or earlier model. If it is a '76 there would be a 4-digit number on the headbadge indicating the build date. The frame serial will indicate when the frame (or headtube) was built, but that may be months or years different than the actual bike.

I bought mine for near $500. on an ebay auction even. Tandems are a difficult sell, two frame sizes, hard to ship.
Mine is the Mixtie aft frame too.
I do wish mine was the road race version with tubulars. It has 27" wheels.

The Paramount tandems came from the factory with 27" clinchers, however dealers would customize as the customer desired. For '75 through '79 (the last year they were offered) all except the smaller of the two rear mixte sizes came with "Sprint style" curved stoker seat tubes. The smaller 19" rear mixte retained a straight tube to allow for sufficient seat post adjustment depth. Here are the specs for '76, the last year the TA crankset was used:

There were one that would show up on the "Coast Ride" on Sunday's in the off season that were fitted with tubulars. From John's in Pasadena. The really cool tandem was the Pogliaghi though.
