Nishiki International INFO?
I picked up a Nishiki International today for $45! I'm thinking this is a pretty good deal as it has Tange 1 "seemless" tubing, cyclone cranks / brakes, suntour sprint derailleurs, anodized araya 700c rims... has some minor surface rust, but overall looking pretty nice. Needs some new tires, but rims are pretty straight as is. Any thoughts? Cheers!

Thanks guys! I'm stoked, planning on fixing it up nicely and hooking up the next guy. It's too tall for me to ride seriously :/ Can we throw out a number for selling? Maybe $150 once new tires and wires / housing and what not... I fix em up good!

What size is the frame? If it's bigger than 60cm that will limit the buyer pool and result in a lower price. Start it where you want but unless San Jose is an ultra hot market it's not a $300 bike when it's ride ready and clean. This time of year $225 where I live.

The subject bike has rust at every lug. Nishiki is a solid brand, but doesn't bring the big $$$. I agree that $200 +/- 10% is about right.

Thanks a lot folks! Yes the lugs are "seemless" which to me look ugly compared to my Nishiki Olympic 12 Speed which is a little older I think. The Tange#1 tubing is super light though, and the Cyclone components are pretty cool. This bike is roughly 23.5 inches which for a 5'6" guy with fairly short legs makes it a stretch. This bike will be to flip after I get it cleaned up, have a few rides with it, enjoy the novelty, then find it a decent home. Who knows, maybe I hook up a friend for super cheap. If I got $100 for it, I will have more than doubled my money. For CL folks, probably start around $200 and see if I get some bites.
QUESTION! I almost want to grab the Cyclone cranks and brakes for my Trek 560 Pro Series I just picked up. I would swop for Exage brakes, 105 fr derail, acera x rr derail. Only reason I ask is if I'm going to flip it for less than mint value, or top dollar, then I might as well take what I like? exage 400 brakes work great, and unless that person is like "where are the cyclone components?" Then does it much matter if the parts are still highly functional? I've been jonesing for some cyclone stuff and honestly didn't even notice the cranks and brakes where that brand( still a rookie here hahaha )...
P.S. Since I got people thinking Nishiki... here is another one I might let go of... this one is more my size, and I ride it here and there, but now have an awesome Trek that is much lighter. How much should I look to get for this one? ARX derailleurs, Sugino GT cranks ( someone mentioned "drillium" idk)... Repacked BB and headset, shimano 600 6 spd cassette.

None of the three bikes involved in your discussion have complete, original groups. So feel free to move the components around as you wish. It won't impact value much. Just check the bottom bracket requirements for the cranks. You might have to move the existing BB with the crank.

Or...take the parts and sell the frame...donor bike style...you can probably make a couple bucks selling the frame and fork on the Bay. Also...any parts you do not want, sell them as well...

The tubing is apparently oversized and internally brazed, not glued. I'm sure their advertising was truthful, but the connections certainly resemble the bonded joints of the Raleigh Technium and some Trek frames.
Even if they were glued it isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some adhesives outperform alternatives for strength and durability. Not all are created equal.

I've been a little intimidated with this prospect, but I noticed there is a sellers fee? Is this a percentage of the sale? Or a one time buy in thing?

I bought one this fall for $25, sold as the bike I would have maybe gotten $200. I parted it out on ebay for around $400 and I still have the rims and bars. Mine did have a real nice super maxi crank that brought $75 all by itself.

I was curious how the paint was on your bike? Mine is shoty in some spots, but has cyclone brake levers, brakes, shifters, and cranks. I'm really tempted to put the cyclone gear on my Trek 560, but not sure about the cranks as they are 5 cm longer. I might part it out and repaint to keep it... so many directions hahah I should just put tubes in and sell it on CL :/

I have that Bridgestone "Cyclone" which I think is 70s, I was considering putting all the cyclone gear on this bike, but have run into an interesting problem... the front derailleur on the newer cyclone gear doesn't have a cable housing stop, but seems to have a hole threaded to receive one... My question (s) is, what is this bolt called, and where can I find one!?!?!?!
