Thank you RoadGuy I will be looking at a bike that you posted above the 54c Lotus Elan 12 speed/Shimano.

The Schwinn Letour that was posted looks pretty good as well.
But if it were me, I go see the Cannondale first, and try to get the Seller to come down.
Keep in mind that if you are not going to do the work, replacing any parts that are in need of replacement after you get the bike home can add up fast. Sometimes spending a little more, saves you money at the end.
And parts for newer, older bikes are often easier to find replacements for. I loved my old 27" tire bikes, but I made a decision to let them go when I saw 700C wheels taking over the market.
I'm a "fiddler". I like to change parts when available so I can have the best parts available on my bikes. When I have purchased a bike that isn't exactly the way I want it, I always end up changing parts till I have the "right" stuff on the bike. This drives up the price for me, and sometimes to the point where I could have bought a more expensive bike that would have cost me less because I would not have changed parts.
