Cannondale caad7 Optimo Dura Ace

Hey guys! I just found this https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/bik/4986919072.html on craigslist and was wondering if I could get some help identifying what model it is and what would be a good price to pay for it? Thank you guys very much for the help!

It appears to be a 2004, with some modifications. I'd be curious if it has never been crashed, why the rims have been replaced. I can't give you any idea on price, too high brow for me.

The Bikepedia link shows DA7800 (10-speed) while the Dura Ace parts on the bike in the ad are DA7700. I smell a parts-bin build. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, except for those junk wheels...

I think the price is in the ballpark but the mis-match parts really turn me off. It would help a lot to know what the frame is. I wish Cannondale had a better naming scheme than CAAD_(some number.) Which gets used on a ton of bikes.

I have talked the owner down to $460.. After everything you guys have said and my lack of experience in this department I'm not sure what to think. I asked the owner if the bike has every been crashed and he said no but I'm not to sure. At that price do you guys think its worth a trip to see?

I also was able to get the bar code number and using the Vintage Cannondale site was able to find it was a 2002 model now trying to find the model itself.

Edit: Was able to find out the bike is a 2002 R5000. Thanks OddJob2 for the site it was clutch!

Make an appointment and take it for a test ride. If it fits and the frame is shows no stress or cracks go for it. Mid $400s is a vg deal.
