So, valuation for a pristine Miyata One Ten ?

Reasonable price for this one ? I have been asked for it.

68cm triple-butted proprietary chromium molybdenum steel frame, manganese steel forks, SunTour AR group, Sakae alloy stem, seat post & handlebars, alloy Dia Compe brake levers & callipers, Signature 175mm alloy crank arms, alloy chain rings, Araya alloy rims.... Quick release skewers on alloy hubs.

Bottom of the line bike but ... stuck in a time warp.

It is in scathingly brilliant condition:

Just a coincidence: I've been inundated with tall bikes lately.

64 & 68cm frames.

Just got a couple more, a 25-inch Norco Monterrey & a 25-inch Fuji Absolute.

They come in 3's (meters?? )

There is a local guy on craigs that will post different groups of bikes and his last cascade of flippers is a group of 3 60+cm bikes.

Cant believe you even FOUND a 68cm. Somebody out there is looking for that (when your grail bike is more about size than brand). That really is a beauty.

Im guessing your location is significantly different than mine and there is a larger overall pool of buyers where you are. Even still, that large a bike may be tough to sell. People who are 6'7+ and looking for vintage has to be a small group.
ebay maybe to help increase the pool of buyers?

$200 should be attainable, id think, if you want to possibly wait a few months.

I just checked the latest census for Des Moines on Wikipedia to see about the average height of the locals...
Very interesting reading. Maybe we do get taller bikers around here in Ontario.

My reluctance to ship complete bikes usually keeps me off eBay, but I have one on there now for local pickup only.
It is a Campagnolo-equipped Bartali from the 1950s and after 6 days the bidding is up to a whopping $75.

Hmmmm....

Can't.
There are only 17 hours left in the auction and I have received one bid....
84 people have seen the listing and I have one bid.
Maybe there will be another bid, maybe not.

Maybe it is only worth US$75.

Try pasting this URL into your browser:

Bartali 4 Speed Road Bike From THE 1950s Located Near Toronto Ontario | eBay

I warn you - it is a rough & ugly bike.

Ebay with local pickup only doesn't take advantage of the global market. Therefore, you need BIN to protect yourself from only a small handful of prospective buyers in your vicinity.

i would suggest you cancel and relist if you have few watchers as well.

And seriously.......

What do you think a reasonable "Buy It Now" price would look like ??

Yes: lately the weather in Southern Ontario sucks a big furry .... whats the work I'm looking for ? Oh , yes. But with the drought they are having in France, the South West U.S. and in Thailand, better lots of rain than none.

But I got out for a ride on my old Benotto tandem bike before the rain showers yesterday. My wife refuses to ride on it with me but I like riding it so much I ride it solo. I think she rode one of her Trek bikes, 720 or 730.

With over 17 years on eBay with a 100% feedback rating, I have found that brutal honesty and strict accuracy in the descriptions is very important.

As for the antique Bartali, with four bids registered and six hours to go, the bidding is up to $91 US ($112 Canadian) so I a pleased.

As for Toronto.... a.k.a. "The City Canada Revolves Around", ...... the prevalent belief common to young Torontonians appears to be that if they travel 50 meters east of Scarborough or west of Mississauga they will simply fall off the map into a deep chasm and be seen no more.

Logan's Run could have been about typical Torontonians visiting Oshawa.
