Peugeot UE-18
Hello. I am hoping that I feel completely justified in thinking that the sellers of this bike are smoking something quite powerful if they think $450 is a fair price for this bike. It's in pretty good condition, certainly not showroom quality as the attached lights are dented up and and the wheels have some rust. Tires are trashed, but frame is in very nice shape, but it is still a middle of the road bike with awful plastic everywhere (first time I have seen plastic brake levers in person). It's certainly cool and if it were more like 100-150 I would have happily walked away with it. But 450? I don't see it.
Sorry for the NDS picture, there wasn't a whole lot of room to turn it around. The owner of the store did not seem like he wanted to budge on the price at all.

Good...that's about what I was thinking price wise. Unless some suckered buys it, I'll go back in about a month and see if they are willing to sell it for what it is actually worth. I am not hopeful though. The guy has 2 warehouses and an outdoor courtyard completely packed - and plenty of things are in so-so condition at best and still have a premium price tag. There were a number of other bikes that were all for the most part complete junk.

Real nice shape fully serviced ready to ride with a mixte and peugeot premiums in a hot market these go $250-300 or so. I would say a fair price for this one is closer to $200. Myself I wouldn't pay these kind of premiums over a similar quality regular road bike which would go for $150 or so.

South Carolina isn't exactly a "hot market" and that bike definitely needs to be torn down and all bearings greased, cables replaced and to make it a rider brake levers replaced. I would be 125...I'm a Peugeot fan and it was actually small enough for my 4'11 wife. I can do the work on it myself
Anyway, I'm glad to know my idea of a reasonable price is on par with others.
