Late 90s De Rosa Primato frameset, EL-OS
Many apologies in advance for having no photos; there's just no way for me to get any at the moment.
It's a beautiful 59cm red Primato, paint and decals probably 8.5/10. Lightly used, by all appearances.
Two unfortunate issues with this frame:
1. The owner replaced the original with a Time carbon fork. He says it was too flexy for him when descending. Did not keep original. I checked carefully and there are no signs of a front-ender.
2. A dent in the top of the top tube, a few inches from the seat cluster. Roughly the size and depth of half of a dime.
So without these two issues the frameset is worth quite a bit, I believe. With the issues, what do you think?
Wouldn't be of interest to a collector, but maybe for someone who wants a rider at a discount, and can bide his/her time sourcing a proper fork...

No fork and dent would make me want to pay $200-300 less than a nice example. If I were in your position, I would hold out was one with a fork and no dents.

I rode it with both, the carbon fork had less rake so the bike behaved a bit differently.
That to me is the issue.
A dent in even a benign location is a hit to value too.
$300 max. Almost treble that with the original fork and no dents.
