That appears to be the top of the line Zeus. And in THE color for 70's bikes. That's a treasure. You would get a lot of interest in that bike if you were to put on ebay. I think $800-1000 for that bike.

Have never owned anything Zeus and don't know the quality of the tubeset either, but it is not often that you see an all original Zeus. Definitely worth a full clean-up and e-bay listing, put it at $1500 buy it now. What is the saddle?

The bike wins points based on rarity and it has, as others have said, a number of cool features.

That said, I don't think this is as high end as the other posters have suggested.

Durifort is not, I believe, a high end tubing set:

VeloBase.com - View Single Frame Part

I could be wrong on this but my understanding is that this was not a top end tubing set.

I know Zeus components came at different quality levels, ZEUS Componentry

Sweet bike and it may be worth a lot to a collector. Still you can get a heck of a vintage bike at $1500 and I don't think this bike is worth that valuation.

To the OP: the AD vent noir was your bike as well? You have good taste in bikes; I'd be really happy to own either of the two bikes you have posted in the C&V valuation.

Sounds like a reasoned answer. I believe it is the original saddle that came with the bike. Next time I go to my parents I will look under the saddle for any additional markings.

Thank you for your compliments.

I would be more than happy to discuss this with you off-line. Please PM with an alt contact method. Unfortunately I do not have anywhere near 50 posts and I cannot send messages.

I agree that an ebay BIN for $1500 is not what the seller is likely to get, but the Zeus components will bring out serious offers; thereby confirming what the larger buying community is willing to pay. Thoroughly cleaned and shiny will help the price.

This is another example (from the subject of another thread) that parting out is sweet sorrow, but the road to maximizing the financial return.

Totally agree that the Puch/AD & Zeus are most unique and the beginning of a excellent collection.
