Coast King 10 speed please help if you can!

I'm hoping to end up being able to sell this bike, I've had it for awhile but can no longer ride. Can anyone please help me figure out if it's worth anything? Or how to figure out more info on it? It's a Coast King 10 speed, the numbers on the frames are: HC5645806 & C71379 86869 - I've tried quite a few google searches, but I just cant find anything. Thank you!!

Unfortunately, it's worth very little. I hadn't heard of the brand before, but the components I can see indicate a department store quality bike: steel one-piece crankset, steel rims, nutted hubs, stem shifters...

Doing a little Googling myself, I found that Coast King was a house brand of bicycles sold by Coast to Coast (Hardware?) stores. One of the things I found was a CPSC recall from 1978 that indicated Huffy made at least some of the Coast King bikes.

I found quite a few of the heavy huffy-looking Coast King bikes on google. This one is a super lightweight one, aluminum frame.

To me, that doesn't look like an aluminum frame. I recommend checking that frame with a magnet.

Yes, that really doesn't look aluminum. In fact it appears to have crimped on rear dropouts.

Rusty, needs cables, other work.

Donate it and take a tax writeoff. Better than working too hard for $20.00.

No, It is an old department store, low quality bike, made from low grade steel tubing. No real value. Give it to a charity & take the tax deduction ?? (But they may not want it).

Sure add to the clutter, like this poster below, over 6 months, reposts frequently.. Started at $650, now down to $550. At this rate, perhaps in 10 years he will have a sale at $30.

Vintage 1975 DELROMI Bicycle Original 10 speed Steel Road Bike *WOW!*
