Bianchi sport SX 1987-1990 worth?

What do you think it's worth? I have access to a facebook page and a big community that loves vintage bikes.. so no need to be conservative.

Its probably closer to 90 than 87. Last month i sold a fully refurbished (everything apart, cleaned, lubed) '86 with new cables and housing, saddle, bar tape, and tires for $185.

The paint had more marks than yours and it had non-aero brakes.

If yours is mechanically as good as it looks and you are in a market with a lot of demand, maybe $250? It has Bianchi on it and the paint looks good, but at the end of the day its a Taiwan Bianchi with Exage. Good all around, but not something cherished.

For $250, the bike would be gone in minutes.. I live near Ottawa Canada.. Regular bikes (Nices Peugeots UO-8, Norco Avanti/Monterey, Mieles etc)) go for 300-400$.. Anyways, I'm probably just going to keep this one for myself until i find something better since its a perfect fit! I guess it's pretty hard to make an appraisal when markets are really different. To give you an idea, this Bianchi Limited from around 1985 sold for $380 this week.

You seem to have a grip on your local pricing. Why keep asking what they're worth here?

The subject bicycle is not 1987. It is almost certainly 1988. This is a Japanese manufactured Bianchi using Tange manufactured tubing. It's a few years newer than than the pictured Limited but also a few rungs lower on the hierarchy.

I have seen these bikes for 500.00 and they don't sell. I think 175.00-250.00 is reasonable. At 380.00 I think that is very high, considering a Giro with Campy and SLX goes for 700.00. This bike is not even half a Giro.

You guys should ship and sell your bikes where I'm from hahah! Prices seem to be considerably higher. Regular bikes in great condition sell for 300-400$ everyday.. Even if they're not special/rare. But thanks for the help! I'm going to keep my eyes open for next level bianchis instead of those kinds of low end ones!

Help identifying Bianchi model and worth.

First time on the Bike Forum. I just picked up this Bianchi for $50.00 and I'm trying to figure out what model it is and what it's worth. Should I have passed on it? Shimano Skylark derailleur, Sugino VP crank set, the bar needs to be wrapped, Selle saddle, CR-MO label and Campione label.

Welcome to the forums. The subject bicycle is a 1987 Binchi Strada with a replacement rear derailleur, This was the bottom of the line model. $50 was a good price if the bicycle was ready to ride but only fair market value if it required an overhaul and replacement of consumables. Based on the pics, it would appear to be closer to the latter.
