I found this Bianchi frame on Craigslist... Should I bite?
Hello guys, I'm starting to explore and research vintage bikes more extensively. I'm working towards buying and fixing up a vintage bike and I feel like this frame is a good place to start. I've heard a lot of good things about Bianchi, and the $50 price tag seems reasonable, but I'm concerned about buying this frame because the fork is bent. Should I buy it and try to find a replacement fork, or keep looking?
Thanks!

This is a lower end made in Japan model.
Given the damage you would be well to keep looking.
Could never come out on this as a money making endeavour.

I was considering getting it just for the parts. At least $50 there but the frame is probably toast.

The moment that I saw this, I thought the cranks were Shimano 600EX too. There appears to be an integral derailleur hanger and a tubing decal. Given Narhay's interest, I'm assuming it is a Canadian market model. It's almost certainly Japanese manufactured but I think that it is more mid-range with either a butted carbon-manganese or butted chromium-molybdenum tubeset. You could probably pick it up for under $50. That would be OK provided it was I think it is and the frame itself is not bent behind the head lugs, which is generally evident by cracked or peeling paint on the top of the tubes and/or wrinkles in the metal on the underside of the tube.

Do you have any suggestions for where I could find a replacement fork? Would I have to browse eBay and try to pick one up that way?

That frame is toast plus you need more than just a fork, you need handlebars, brakes, seatpost, saddle and wheels, all stuff that will add up to more than $400 for a piece of junk.
Buy this Peugeot for $85, same size and cheap, you just need some bar tape and maybe brake hoods
Peugeot road bike *can deliver
