Borroni bike with lug damage for 150 usd?

Found another interesting bike (almost full Campagnolo except crank and brake calipers) with what looks like a possible seatpost lug deformation. Any advice would be much appreciated as to whether it`s worth the asking price and how serious the damage looks. Thank you

. Lots of pics

It's hard to tell from the pic if the seatpost binder bolt ears are damaged or not. Have you seen the bike personally? Is there a crack in the ears? From the pics, this could just be paint damage.

If the frame is sound, $150 is reasonable for the bike if not a good deal. I have never heard of Borroni bikes and google (at least my quick searches) turned up nothing on the bike.

If the frame is bad, then $150 becomes less attractive. I'd try to talk the seller down to $100 if you're just buying a bunch of parts and a bad frame.

Where are you located?

Thank you for the quick answer, I`m in E. Europe and since there is no frame welder in the entire region I`m more worried about the seat post lug. I would have to have the bike shipper so I cant see it beforehand. Thank you

The lug concerns should be easy to sort out with no special tools. This is how I repair damaged seat tube lugs. And this is how to remove a stuck seat post.

Warning - don't try to muscle the seat post or steering stem out if they are seized. I have damaged really nice frames using my muscle power.

Well, it not full Campagnolo, as that it a Sugino crankset. The rear derailleur appears to be a low end Camapagnolo model, the 990. I can't see any D-rings on the skewer nuts, so they would also appear to b lower models. One brake appears to have had one arm replaced. The pedals appear to be replacement ATB versions.

The bicycle is aesthetically challenged, with lots of scratches, chips and grime. This is a poorly maintained bicycle. It will need a complete overhaul and almost certain replacement of most consumables (chain, freewheel, cables, pads, handlebar tape, etc., though I must admit the tires look decent. Still, this frame is so rough that it merits a repaint if it doesn't require repair. Given, the components, it's probably not top of the line tubing but something more mid-range, maybe tretubi SL or even Aelle. Personally, I'd walk away from this one given the amount the work needed and the level of components.
