Schwinn tandem
What is the year and value for this bike. Serial number is 268820. I have pics if needed. I have been told it is pre fire. Any thoughts?

Any proper Appraisal is going to need good pictures of your actual bike.

A 1948 Schwinn office fire destroyed most serial number records up until that time, so if it is a "pre-fire" bike, you probably won't be able to pin down the date of manufacture except by referring to old catalogs which may get you within a year or so. Post some good photos of the bike so we can get an idea of what you've got by referencing on-line catalogs.
