1993 Bridgestone RB-2 Value
Looking to sell my 1993 RB-2 and wondering what you all think is fair market value?
I'm gonna post for $400 knowing that's probably high but think I wouldn't take any less than $300.
What are your thoughts?
All original, with the exception of new rim tape, tubes, and Czar white wall tires. Also, original pedals and toe cages are gone.
Solid working order and in good cosmetic condition.
Thanks for all your responses!

Still learning
I would suggest you list it closer to what you will take for the bike, rather than $400, even in Colorado. At $400 you can get a decent used STI equipped road bike. Also, as it's Labor Day sale time, you can even probably find low end road bikes for under $500.
I doubt the stem with an upward rise is OEM on a road bike.

Originally I thought the same thing. Did some research and it is in fact OEM.
Here is a picture of the RB-2 from the catalog with the uprising Sakae stem
Bridgestone Bicycles 1993 Catalogue page 28
and here is the component list indicating the Sakae aluminum stem
Bridgestone Bicycles 1993 Catalogue page 64 copy
I've also attached a picture of another '93 RB-2 that has the same stem.
Originally I couldn't stand the look of it but it's honestly grown on me each time I ride it. Commuted on this bike for an entire year and it really provides a more comfortable upright ride. Just another one of those oddball Grant Petersen touches I guess

It's in very nice condition. It's red. I wouldn't take less than $350 for it if I were you.

Yes-- given the name recognition and overall good condition, - i think your right in there on pricing
Were it anything but a Bridgestone, id guess 200-250 tops, but its a 'Stone, - so list it at 400--- the market will speak for itself if the price is too high or not

I had a hit on it this morning at the $400 asking price. Guy comes walking up to my door and I notice he's only about 5'6". Damn, I basically had to talk him outta buying it. Gotta be a good sign on price though. Hopefully more hits keep coming!

A few months ago I sold a 94 for $200, my asking price. Plum color, perfect paint, vcg 7 speed RX100 components. IMO a few dollars one way or the other doesn't matter if you want it gone and have a buyer. If you are a flipper you may have different priorities.

FYI - My Bridgestone RB-2 sold for $300 yesterday. I'm happy with the price considering it's late September
