Miyata (unknown year) alumitech
I believe it is a 1989 Miyata alumitech 718a... It has a mix of "sport" and "exage" shimano LX ... 3 x 6 with biopace. any ideas of what its worth? interesting that the front triangle is lugged aluminum and rear is bolted on steel. pretty good condition just needs some maint. and cleaning

Yes it does look to be an 89 based on components and the composite Japanese Aluminum frame which were only built a few years circa 88-92. As presented dirty and in need of full servicing about $150-175 if everything works good and the none standard quill seat post has no issues quill post in aluminum frames from this time frame were problematic if they were every over tightened miss adjusted it was easy to damage the post or frame and these post are nearly impossible to replace.

Still learning
Zukahn1 and I are usually on the same page as far as FMV, but on this one, I would be less generous. Bad photos, really dirty, chain gunked up, rusted cables, etc. As presented $80-$100.

Well take the bike down off the hanger give it a bit of cleaning, unkink clean the gunk off the chain an take a good photo then it's a $150. I know aluminium composites from the late 80's with mixed components don't which were common don't get a lot of love around here but they were actually pretty good bikes.
