89 Centurion Ironman Master

This is more about me window shopping the local CL, which almost never has anything of interest.

This is roughly in my neck of the woods. Pics not great, but looks in good shape, and should be my size. I think this is the 'Blue Water' paint scheme. The RD doesn't look like the Shimano 600 Tricolor I've seen seen in other photos of Masters from this year, but the bike looks mostly original. Good price? Great price? Can these bikes handle 28 mm tires?

Ah, the joys and thoroughness of BF! While looking thru the 'Post your Centurion Ironman' thread for similar bikes, I found that this exact bike had been posted there back in January, from both CL and eBay ads. Since then the tape and hoods have been freshened. The eBAY ad has lots of better photos. Apparently the 600 Tricolor cranks, pedals and RD have been swapped out for 105s of apparently roughly similar vintage. And the paint isn't in as good shape as the CL ad indicates.

More importantly, I see this:

Is that evidence of a cracked seat stay where it joins the seat tube?

That is a fmv price. Wish it was my size. Be a better deal if it had the original rear derailleur. Those components, those wheels, and that paint scheme make it very desirable.

My dang phone pics, I couldn't see any of that. I think I posted it on the other thread. I think initially that had it for 150.
