'67-70' Peugeot PX-10 Value
Beautiful Vintage 1960's Peugeot PX10 France Road Bike
Thoughts on what I should offer? He's asking $700. What do you think it's worth?
Thanks for your time!

The frame seems to be in excellent or near-mint shape, fancy lugs, no rusted components, looks to be nearly all-original with the bars and original wheelset. It depends on your market, but in my area it probably would sell for $350-400. I see them regularly in my area and the're advertised for between $325-1800, so there's a wide range of what sellers think they're worth.
Offer him $400. Can't hurt to try.

The extra bars and stem (the original stem looks like it's on the bike) appear to be Cinelli which I don't believe would not be stock on a PX-10, although it would be an upgrade. The bike looks to be in beautiful condition but I think that price is optimistic. There are a lot of PX-10's out there available in the $400 - $500 price range although few in that condition. I would be concerned about the delrin Simplex derailleurs and inspect them closely for cracks.
I'm not sure how the Denver market is, but at this time of year, I think $500 would be the very most to pay.

The early Brooks Pro in that condition would be worth around $100 by itself.

I would say $500-550 with the extras which is pretty much top dollar for a basic PX-10. There are a lot of these bikes out there an while you see a lot of them listed for more I just don't see them selling for much more than $500.

I don't think the seller is asking an unreasonable amount. The bike looks like it's in mint condition. Plus, original drop bars & other parts included. I think that would sell pretty quick. Make an offer. See if you can get seller closer to $600.

I want to thank everyone for their insight into this late 60's Peugeot PX-10 and apologize for not noticing a post regarding the exact bike only weeks prior!
I spent some time looking at and riding the bike today and the seller and I agreed upon a price of $350 including all the extra goodies (original wheelset, original Mafac toolkit, Cinelli stem and drop bars, etc)
Very pleased with the bike and took it for a quick ride tonight. No cracks in either of the Simplex derailleurs and they shifted without issue. Gonna be a real fun bike once I get the drop bars installed!
Thanks again!

Great you got the bike for a much better price the $600-700 price would have been the price for the bike original nicely serviced ready to ride few years ago as is I think you got it a a FMV price.
