Vintage Trek 950 with Serial Number starting with O
I picked up a near mint Trek 950 with all original equipment and was researching it's worth when I came across this on Vintage Trek
"If you have a leading O (Oh) serial number on a frame with Reynolds 531 stickers, please contact me (Skip). This applies only to serial numbers in the form LNLNLNN where the first letter is an O (Oh)."
My bike has all those things. I sent him an email but was wondering is this a rare Trek bike or is this just Skip trying to find info?

Does your Trek 950 have a Reynolds 531 sticker? What year is it?

Probably a little of both. The vintage-trek note sounds like he's looking for information, but the 950 is a pretty high end Trek and I would imagine the "custom" variety are pretty uncommon. I doubt it's worth a fortune, but it's a pretty nice bike. Please post some pics.

If it truly has a Reynolds 531 tubing decal, it's not a 950. Reynolds 531 makes it a 750.

Good catch. Just did some studying on this recently. 750 and 950 were Trek's high end racing models. According to the spec sheets, they shared the same geometry and lugs. 750 used Reynolds 531 while the 950 used Columbus SL/SP.
