Cannondale Road Bike Criterium Series

Hello,

I am thinking about getting this bike as a backup/beater. Apparently, the seller is unsure of the year, but says it has shimano 105 groupings.

Anyone have thoughts about this bike, in terms of its year, how it rides, and a good price?

Thanks in advance

I sold a 1990ish 600 Aluminum that was perfect in a 25 inch, and it took a couple months to get $200 for it.
The market is very weird in the DC Balto Metro though.

It should be a good rider/second bike/beater...I have had several go through my hands...generally pay about $250 for one in riding condition in the ATL market...

thanks for the replies. After seeing the serial, it turns out this bike is from 1988.

Any thoughts on a good price?

Anything under $200 is a pretty good deal. It's seen some use, based on the rim brake track wear and will likely need tires, tubes, bar tape, cables and housing plus a full bearing service, so that's another $70 or so out of pocket, plus any other items (e.g. stem, saddle) you may want for personal preference.

So for under $300 you'll have a simply amazing bike. I rode my black 88 SR500 today and fell in love all over again.
