Are either of these bikes worth it? (Trek, Nishiki, Peugeot)

I'm planning on buying another bike, so I need input on if these are worth the price.

Trek 2300:

Nishiki Olympic:

Note: This one doesn't have many images, but apparently he's selling other bikes so it might be easy to see it in person.

An older Peugeot:
Note: Most likely just avoid it, but anyway here you go.

I'd personally stay away from the Trek as a regular rider. I don't have anything against new carbon, early carbon (especially glued to lugs) would make me a bit more nervous.

I just listed that same Peugeot (a year older) for the same price in my local area. I expect to sell it for a bit under that here, nothing too out of line with that pricing from what I regularly see.

Can't say on the Nishiki, not enough info. I'd guess it'd be a bit high in my area.

Just my opinions though

Also, that Peugeot is probably an 84, not an 86. IIRC, 84 was the last year the PH10s had rear eyelets. Not really a big deal, though. Also looks a bit rougher than I first thought, so maybe needs a bit of a price adjustment.

At $200 I'd choose the Peugeot over the Nishiki. For twice the money I might choose the Trek over the Peugeot but I'd want to give it a good going over before deciding. They're different sizes so that should be the deciding factor.

What would you say is a good negotiation price on it? I know the fact that it needs new tires is a good factor for negotiation.

Is it a good bike and worth repairing?

What are your plans with it? I liked it for just going out for some speedy riding, just could never get the one I had to fit me right, and ended up finding something else.

I may just use it for doing a small commute and speeding around town. Not 100% on the price tho, since it needs some TLC such as the tires. Might've been neglected and I don't know the ride since the tires are flat.

Get the Orange Miyata 912 OP! I had a black 912 and loved it, wish I hadn't sold it and they say Orange is the fastest color.

What is your size? 56-58cm?

This Univega Gran Sprint is advertised as being in the mint condition.
You can always try to negotiate the price. But if the paint has no scratches and rust, I would pay more for sure.
It seems that the Gran Sprint is more a racing type bike with its tight geometry and components like the crankset.

No not really.

Of the original 3 the Peugeot is the best bike/value. Its all British threading and its an '86 model.

As much as I like old Trek, I agree. I like that Trek 2200 also. The Miyata offers the best value for the money.

Out of these bike I would lean toward the Miyata 912 or one of the classic Treks depending on sizing.

Good deals disappear quickly.
Just check Craigslist every day for months and run with cash when you find something.
