um, i thought this was about a Raleigh.
that price seems a bit high to me, but i'm not in CA. |
I don't know nutt'in about Bianchi, but if it was Raleigh, I'd like to see some name brand tubing for $325. The Suntour stuff is nothing fancy, either.
Me, I'd buy a $150-$200 531-tubed Raleigh and clean it up myself. Even in SF, they show up that cheap every few months. But again, I don't know anything about Bianchi except it's a cool name and sounds Italian. |
oops sorry guys, I had a freudian slip and wrote raleigh for some unknown reason : (

maybe a little high priced with those parts. I have one. It's japanese made piaggio owned bianchi. the tubing is ishawata mangi or somethingerother.
That said I think it's a pretty nice frame. I used mine to commute all summer. It's now being rebuild with 8 speed sora and i'm giving it to a friend who will commute on it. here's one of the many iterations of mine. http://www.brian-payne.com/gallery/m...serialNumber=2 |
oh and, bought mine for $100. It was complete minus deraillers/ shifters. Somebody was going to make it into a fixie but I saved it.

I told him that I was about to purchase another bike I found on craigslist, but I'd much rather buy his if he was willing to offer 250. He offered 250! So I think I'm going to pick it up tomorrow.
