1967 Gitane?
hello, new to your forum, read the guidelines, i will try and get some pixs soon to post. in the mean time i am just trying to gauge a value for my bike. i bought this bike brand new from a small "in his garage" dealer in 1967. it is a blue gitane 10 speed. i had it for years and than loaned it to my sister in the 80's and she just recently returned it. it is well used with nicks and dents but has the original tires, seat, fenders and handle bar wraps still on it. factory serial number 00058. any ideas? thanks all, jim

One dent can really cut the value (by 25 to 50% depending on size and location). And since you used the term "dents", bike could be worth a lot less than a clean version.
Really need more details and good pictures to give more accurate estimate.
Also if it has the original tires from 40+ years ago, it also probably needs a lot of maintenance: cables, bearings, that kind of thing. A lot of this maintenance can be done for just a few dollars, if you do it yourself. If you pay someone to do it, be ready to spend some $$$.

Hard to say, but sounds like an entry model with a lot of wear and tear, and therefore, not worth much. Worth $58? Maybe, but those dents may make it worth less..
