Value of a mid-80s Nishiki Riviera GT?
It looks to be in pretty good condition from the photos. I haven't seen in it person yet.
My desires: I'm looking for a touring bike, and I wanted an older steel model. I've been searching for a Miata 1000 or Specialized Expedition. I got to see an Expedition the other day, but it was too big. (The seller had the wrong size written down and as soon as he wheeled it out he said, "This looks bigger than I thought it was..."). I know this is not quite as high of quality, but I haven't seen anything come across in my size since I've been looking.
I want something that I can load up and take on multi-day rides.
I'd prefer it have simple components that are easier to fix on the side of the road (i.e., downtube shifters are a plus for my purposes)
Function and relevant quality are most important.
It seems like a lot these old Rivieras had cycloid cranks, but this one does not.
What do you think this is worth?

Needs a little clean up yet, but it is in nice shape. Does it have braze-ons for a front rack? How many bottle braze-ons?
Around here, full market value in ready to ride condition, $350. Discount this one slightly for some cleanup, probably need to grease and new bearings for bb and hubs.
This is a really good looking bike!!
